Directions
The goal of this assignment is for students to become familiar with various professional and government organizations and agencies that advocate for underserved populations.
Students will access the link Agencies & Organizations (Links to an external site) and select one government and one non-government agency that addresses health disparities in the U.S. Students will also select one health care organization or agency in their respective areas and answer the following questions in the form of an essay.
The 5-page essay should be written in APA format. The cover and reference pages do not count toward the requirements. Students will start with an introduction that includes a thesis statement, discuss each organization (answer the questions within the essay), and end with a summary or conclusion. Be sure to include subheadings to identify each section. Do not include more than what is required for example, no more than five pages of content.
