2. Then, complete and share your results for Exercise 7.4 (In Additional materials):
Write a brief summary of the text you intend to evaluate for your Critique Essay, preferably one which you have already examined with a close reading and for which you have developed a list of possible criteria.
Be sure to clearly identify the text with a complete MLA entry (author name, title, publication details, etc.)
For the purposes of this exercise, keep the summary brief—no more than 100 words or so—and be sure to strive for a summary that focuses as much as possible on “just the facts.” Show your summary here to peers who haven’t read the text that you are summarizing.
